Today marks the beginning of winter, and we are replacing our fantastic autumn poster with a new one about winter. As always, we started with an artistic provocation to decorate the background of the poster.
The provocation involved drawing snowflakes in the cool colors of winter (white, blues, grays...), and in the end, the mixture of paints resulted in various shades of blue for the poster.
Instead of brushes, we used rolls of cardboard from toilet paper or kitchen towels, cut into snowflake shapes.
As always happens when we use paint, O. got really excited and ended up painting the entire side of the poster using his cardboard brush. The paint dried quickly since, although winter starts today, we had a lot of sunshine. So, I suggested a new artistic activity.
Using white glue and the bottle as a pencil, I drew snowflakes, and they sprinkled the salt we had colored with chalk from previous activities on top. Once it dried, we ended up with textured snowflakes.
This will serve as our base for the winter poster, which will allow us to incorporate various winter-themed activities and will serve to document the learning process.
